Brant woman pleads guilty to crash that injured three

A Town of Brant woman has pleaded guilty to causing a crash that sent five people to the hospital last year.

The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Kalah Schultz, 26, has pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular assault in the first degree, the highest charge. She is now facing up to seven years in prison.

This stems from a crash along Route 438 on the Seneca Nation Territory in the Town of Collins Dec. 10, 2018. Schultz admitted crashing her vehicle into another. The DA says five people from the other vehicle were taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center to be evaluated and three suffered injuries.

Schultz is free on her own recognizance until her sentencing in October.
