A Niagara Falls man has been indicted for abducting a female victim and holding her against her will in his home. The Niagara County District Attorney’s Office says Michael Ciskiewic, 25, was arraigned Monday on a variety of charges, including kidnapping, predatory sexual assault, rape and burglary. If convicted of all charges, Ciskiewic could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.
The charges come after police reported finding a trail of blood and a woman chained in a basement on June 9.
Ciskiewic returns to court in September for a conference before Niagara County Judge Matthew Murphy. Bail on Monday was set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond.
