Former Clymer teacher pleads guilty to child porn possession

A former Clymer Central school teacher has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to possession of child pornography involving a pre-pubescent minor.

Scott Aikens, 60, was a middle and high school teacher with Clymer Central when he was arrested in September of last year.

Prosecutors say they traced the user of a Thai child pornography site to Aikens in June of 2018. Authorities say a total of 683 videos and 22 still images were found on computers and other electronic devices seized from Aikens.

He faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, lifetime supervised release, and a 250 thousand dollar fine if convicted.
