Investigators are seeking information about a hit-and-run accidentthat struck a pedestrian April 16. Jamestown Police say it happened at 9:15 p.m. in front of UPMC Chautauqua on Foote Avenue.
The pedestrian was struck by a silver 2009-2012 Toyota Rav 4 at a crosswalk and sustained a serious leg injury that police say will require a lengthy recovery.
The suspect's vehicle is missing a piece to its front driver's-side bumper (a small black plastic insert, where a fog light would be) and will be noticeable.
Anyone who may have information on the wherabouts of the vehicle or who may have been driving it is asked to contact the Jamestown Police at 483-7537. Anonymous tips can be left at 483-Tips or via the Tips 411 App.
