The Buffalo Catholic Diocese has announced four new members of its Diocesan Review Board, who will help advise Bishop Richard Malone on allegations of sexual misconduct.
Newly added are:
- Lee Coppola, former dean of journalism at St. Bonaventure University, assistant U.S. Attorney and investigative reporter
- Dr. John Coyne, an ordained priest who later changed his vocation to pediatric medicine. He now works at Catholic Health and has closely worked with the Erie County District Attorney’s office as an expert witness in the prosecution of child abuse cases.
- Sal Martoche, senior counsel at Hodgson Russ law firm, a former New York State Supreme Court and Appellate Court judge and former U.S. Attorney for Western New York, among other government positions
- Sister Mary McCarrick, the recently-retired director of Catholic Charities and a licensed clinical social worker
Other members include:
- Alfred Luhr, senior vice president and regional market manager with the Business and Professional Banking Department at M&T Bank
- Rocco Diina, former Buffalo Police Commissioner
- Maria Picone, coordinator of special projects for Metropolitan & District Services at Catholic Charities of Buffalo
- Patricia Collard, a registered professional nurse who currently volunteers her time at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and Marillac Guild of Sister's Hospital
- Sister Anne Marie Jablonicky, a Felician Franciscan sister, counselor and therapist at the Diocesan Counseling Center for Church Ministers
- Roderick Quebral, an attorney who serves as principal counsel for the Attorney Grievance Committee - 8th Judicial District
- Rev. Msgr. W. Jerome Sullivan, an ordained priest
