Black Rock barber charged with kidnapping

A Black Rock barber has been charged with kidnapping.

Authorities say it all began with a man discovered along the side of the road at the Vulcan Street exit of the northbound 190 last week.

Pablo Alicea, 37, the owner of Xclusive Cutz on Niagara Street, faces robbery, assault and grand larceny charges in addition to the kidnapping charge in the alleged abduction of the 40-year-old victim. Alicea is being held in lieu of $85,000 bail and has a criminal record.

The victim told police he was held captive for three days, and he was tied up with a cell phone cord and beaten and drugged while wearing a hood. Police are looking for three other men believed to have been a part of the kidnapping.

The victim's familly told the Buffalo News they believe the incident was because he is gay.
