Irving woman charged in fatal hit and run

Facebook

An Irving woman has been arrested and charged in the fatal hit-and-run of an 18-year-old near Darien Lake Saturday morning.

The Genesee County Sheriff reports Jennifer Serrano, 48, has been charged with vehicular manslaughter in the second degree and leaving the scene of a personal injury incident - both felonies.

The charges stem from  the death of Connor Lynsky, who was walking to a campsite after a concert at Darien Lake.

His friends last saw Lynskey running ahead to catch up with another pal. They called police when he did not appear at the campsite.

Authorities later found the teen from Hinckley, NY, near Utica, in a ditch along Sumner Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Serrano was arraigned in Darien Town Court and is being held on $100,000 cash bail.
