Man found dead in burning truck

maxresdefault_0_0.jpg

Town of Tonawanda investigators are trying to identify a man found dead in a burning pick-up truck.

Police say neighbors in the area of Wynnwood Avenue and Yorkshire Road reported hearing a loud boom about 10:30 p.m. Monday and later seeing a parked pick-up truck on fire. Town police and paramedics responded, but had to call Brighton Fire when an extinguisher was not able to put out the flames.

When they put out the fire, authorities discovered a man dead inside the truck. Police say foul play is not suspected at this time.

They say no injuries were reported to first responders or residents at the scene and property damage appears to be limited to the pick-up truck.
