Towing company owner sentenced for bribing Buffalo Police

Facebook.com

The owner of a prominent Buffalo towing company will spend one year in jail for his role in a pay-to-play scheme. James Mazzariello, owner of James Mazz Auto, admitted he conspired to pay bribes to Buffalo Police officers. In return, Mazzariello received a competitive advantage in responding to accident scenes.

His son, Adam Mazzariello, was also charged in the case and agreed to a plea agreement that will see him serve a six-month prison term.

Defense lawyers have questioned why no Buffalo Police officers were ever charged for accepting the bribes.
