Police are investigating a shooting outside the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga.
It happened at about 3 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot outside Macy's department store. There have been no reports of any injuries.
Police say they believe two groups of people were targeting each other: one of the suspects fired shots on foot before getting into a vehicle that drove away. At least two vehicles were involved.
It was just last Thursday that the mall held an active shooter drill.
