Over 200 pot plants and narcotics found, leading to trio's arrest

Three people have been arrested after police say they found more than 200 marijuana plants growing in their home, plus cocaine, heroin, needles, weapons and cash.

It began when Kenmore Police and Erie County Sheriff narcotics officers stopped a vehicle believed to be transporting drugs Monday afternoon near Delaware Road and Zimmerman Boulevard in Kenmore. They say the occupants -- Christian Roberts, 41 of Kenmore, and Kari McKeever, 34 of Fredonia, -- were found to have multiple bags of heroin and needles on them.

That led police to execute a search warrant on the couple's Kenmore Avenue home, where they say officers found the pot plants and other items related to drug trafficking. Also arrested at the home was John Adounader, 49 of Kenmore -- a housemate and relative of Roberts.

The three are being held at the Erie County Holding Center on multiple drug-related charges pending their arraignment in Kenmore Village Court.
