A dead body and a suspicious missing person case are keeping area police busy Friday.
Buffalo Police are investigating a fatal overnight shooting. Detectives say a 19-year-old city man was found in the street, dead from an apparent gunshot wound, just after midnight. The body was found in the first block of Littlefield Avenue, near Villa Maria College on Doat Street.
Buffalo Police ask anyone with information to call their confidential tipline at 847-2255.
Meanwhile, Jamestown Police are investigating a suspicious missing person case. Police say Sean Carpenter, 35, was last seen walking down Pine Street, toward 1st Street in Jamestown about 1:45 a.m, Wednesday, but has not been seen since.
Carpenter is described as 6'2", 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 483-Tips (8477).
