NT man accused of stabbing family member

Niagara County Sheriff's Office

A North Tonawanda man has been accused of stabbing a family member in the neck. The Niagara County Sheriff's Office says Cory Ochterski, 40, has been arrested on a charge of assault in the first degree.

Ochterski is accused of stabbing the family member while the two were riding in a vehicle down Tonawanda Creek Road in Pendleton. When the family member stopped the vehicle, Ochterski ran off.

The victim then drove himself to DeGraff Memorial Hospital for treatment, but was later transferred by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center. Ochterski was later located by Amherst Police.

He was arraigned, with bail set at $50,000. Ochterski is due back in court Jan. 19.
