Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle suspected of striking a 14-year-old boy riding his bicycle on Grand Island early Wednesday evening.

The Erie County Sheriff's Office says deputies met with the father and son, after the teen was struck around 6 p.m. on Ransom Road, forcing him to the ground.

The boy incurred minor injuries to his leg and abdomen. He was treated at a local medical facility and released.

Police are looking for an older model, maroon sedan with possible damage to the front right fender and an orange license plate. The vehicle was last seen traveling westbound on Ransom Road, before turning onto Stony Point Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Erie County Sheriff’s Office at 858-2903.
