Third teen sentenced in stomping assault

A 15-year-old boy was granted youthful offender status for his sentencing Wednesday in connection with the stomping of a homeless man last September. The youth, who was 14 at the time, was one of three teens who pleaded guilty to second degree assault in State Supreme Court in April. He was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison.

His two co-defendants, Aaron Gallon, 18, and Armontae Moss, 16, both of Buffalo, were sentenced last week to seven-year prison terms.

The attack happened at Broadway and Ellicott Street in Buffalo. The victim suffered severe injuries, including head trauma and skull fractures.
