A Tonawanda man faces charges after threatening a police officer with a knife Friday night.
Police say 48-year-old Christopher Mobilia got angry with officer Erik Johanson after he responded to a domestic dispute involving a female. Mobilia retrieved a carving knife from the kitchen counter and took an aggressive stance. Johanson drew his gun and instructed Mobilia to drop his weapon. Mobilia released the knife and was arrested.
He is charged with menacing a police officer and misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use.
