BPD releases Evander Kane harassment complaint

Buffalo Police Department

Buffalo police have released a redacted version of the harassment complaint made against Buffalo Sabres left winger Evander Kane in an early-morning incident Friday at a Chippewa Street bar.

The complaint states Kane made derogatory remarks against a woman at Bottoms Up on Chippewa, then threatened her.

While outside in the parking lot, Kane allegedly grabbed the woman by the throat and tried pushing her into his car.

Detectives have been interviewing witnesses and taking statements. At this time no charges have been filed.
