Two Buffalo police officers injured in rollover accident

The two Buffalo police officers hospitalized with injuries in a rollover accident have been released from ECMC.Buffalo police accident investigators say officers Richard Hy and Bradford Pitts attempted to stop a vehicle last night, after the vehicle had almost struck some children getting off a school bus at Hickory and William Street. The vehicle continued to drive recklessly.

The officers were following that vehicle when another vehicle, a Chrysler 300, struck the patrol car at Fox Street and Sycamore, causing the patrol vehicle to flip over. No charges have been filed at this time.

You may remember Officer Hy for being suspended with pay for 30 days last month for his "Angry Cops" social media videos.
