Lockport Police Arrest Two Burglary Suspects

In the City of Lockport, police have  arrested two men responsible for a number of residential burglaries that took place while residents were asleep.

Lockport police say at about 4 a.m. Sunday morning, 18-year-old Tarence Callaham and 25-year-old Jeffrey Hewitt of Lockport were taken into custody by the Patrol Division after responding to a burglary in progress on E. Union street. Both suspects confessed to the crime. Hewitt was charged with one count of Burglary in the 2nd degree and Callaham was charged with multiple counts of Burglary in the 2nd degree. Additional charges are pending for both suspects.
