An Attica woman is facing a second degree murder charge in the death of her husband of 30 years.  State Police say Charlene Mess, 48,  is charged with killing her husband, Douglas Mess, 52. Authorities were called to the family's Exchange Street home in Attica Monday for a report of a missing person.

Douglas Mess had not been seen since Sunday night about 8 p.m. State police did a ground and aerial search, locating Douglas Mess under a mound of manure near the back of his farm.

"At this time, because of the nature of the investigation and the fact that it's still ongoing, we will not be commenting on motive, any admissions, or any murder weapon, whether it's been discovered or not," State Police Captain Steven Nigrelli told WBFO.

Charlene Mess was arraigned in the Village of Warsaw Court. She is being held without bail.
