A Batavia man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of his infant son. Jeffrey Deats, 28, is being arraigned Thursday afternoon in Genesee County. He is being held at the county jail.
Deats' six-month-old son was discovered unresponsive in his Olyn Avenue home on Sunday morning. The boy was taken to United Memorial Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy determined the child died from brain injuries.
