Police locate man, car sought in attempted child lurings

File photo

Buffalo Police have located the white Lexus that was used by individuals who allegedly attempted to lure teenagers in recent weeks. The car was found in the City of Buffalo, according to a police spokesman. The male driver of the vehicle was arrested in Saint Francis County, Arkansas on unrelated charges. The female passenger has not been located.

The Lexus was used in at least four separate instances, on Buffalo East and West sides.

The first alert about the alleged abductions was issued earlier this month. In separate incidents, a woman tried to grab a 16-year-old female on the 300 block of Connecticut Street.

The following week, a 15-year-old male was approached by a man on Deerfield Avenue who tried to lure him into the car. Later that day, the couple tried to get a 17-year-old female into the car near Fillmore Avenue and Paderewski Drive.

The couple was described at the time as a black male, 20-25 years old, about 5' 10", weighing 250 pounds and a black female, about 5' 6", of medium build and dark skin.
