La Nova Pizzeria on Buffalo's West side was the scene of an armed hold-up Thursday morning. The robbery took place just before 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the popular restaurant at 371 West Ferry Street. Buffalo Police say the suspect approached an individual and demanded money. After taking an undetermined amount of cash, the thief fled on foot.
The victim and a number of store employees chased the suspect. At one point during the incident, the suspect, identified late Thursday as 21-year-old Terrance Price of Buffalo, fired at least one gunshot. The group apprehended the man on nearby Winter Street near Hampshire Street.
Price in police custody and a weapon has been recovered. He has been charged with robbery, criminal possession of a loaded firearm, and reckless endangerment.
No one involved in the incident was injured by the gunfire.
