Authorities are looking for help identifying the man who carried out a violent attack that killed a manager at the Hamburg Toys R Us store early Saturday morning.Laurence Wells, 35, of Blasdell died at Mercy Hospital after an employee discovered his wounded body at the store. Authorities believe the attack happened between 4:40 and 5:45 a.m. Saturday.
A grainy surveillance video photo was released to the public Sunday. It shows a man, roughly 5' 10", wearing a jacket with a high tan collar or scarf , sweatpants with writing down the side, and a black and gold Florida Gators baseball hat that was left at the scene. The hat commemorates Florida's 2007 NCAA basketball championship.
The man to the video appears to be holding a sharp object in his hand. The blurry video is being sent for enhancement. The hat is being tested for DNA. A motive for the attack has not been determined.
