The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is searching for a Virginia man in connection with the homicide of the Clymer Schools superintendent.
Chautuaqua County Sheriff Deputy Joseph Gerace and District attorney David Foley held news conference Thursday afternoon to announce that 42-year-old Anthony Robert Taglianetti II is wanted for questioning.
"We have evidence to put the suspect in Chautauqua County the night of the homicide which we believe would have been Friday night," said Sheriff Gerace.
The body of superintendent Keith Reed was discovered outside of his home Monday. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.
A wanted poster with Taglianetti's photo says he is considered "armed and dangerous". He is described as 6 feet-tall, 250-pounds and is from Woodbridge, Virginia.
Sheriff Gerace says Reed and Taglianetti "knew of one another", but he could not elaborate. Investigators believe the suspect has already fled back to Virginia.
"We do not believe he is in our area at all. We have reason to believe he is in and around the state of Virginia," said Gerace.
Reed, who came to the district last November, was reported missing by friends last weekend. He hadn't been seen since last Friday night.
Sheriff's deputies found his body after searching the property on Clymer-Sherman Road Monday morning.
Reed, a 51-year-old father-of-three, lived alone. His funeral will be held this Friday.
"It was not a random act and it had nothing to do with his role as superintendent of schools of the Clymer School District," noted Sheriff Gerace.
