The shelter says a 5-year-old cat named Tommy was found shot in the forehead with an arrow last Thursday afternoon near his Elm Street home in Lackawanna. He was taken to an animal hospital, where he had to be euthanized for humane reasons.
Animal investigators are asking anyone with information about the incident to call an SPCA hotline at 629-3502. Any tip that leads to an arrest is eligible for a $500 reward.
