For more than four decades, people would gather and shop for bargains weekends at the Super Flea, on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga. But it was shut down and demolished several years ago, to make room for a new Wal-Mart.
Now, the store Queen City Vintage has announced plans for a new Queen City Super Flea open air market, which will be held on select weekend days 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this summer, from June 4-Sept. 25. The new Super Flea will be located at 325 Fuhrmann Blvd. on Buffalo's Outer Harbor.
"Our goal of the flea is to provide a different type of shopping experience that is family-friendly while also showcasing some of the area's best artisans, creators, curators, entrepreneurs, food trucks and small businesses," according to the Super Flea website.
Vendor applications will be taken online starting Thursday at queencitysuperflea.com.
