Once again, Wegmans is being recognized as one of the best places to work in the country.
The Rochester-based supermarket chain, with a large presence in the Buffalo area, ranks number 3 on this year's list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For from Fortune magazine.
This is the 25th anniversary of the published list and Wegmans has been on the list every time.
The rankings are compiled from survey responses of more than 4.5 million current U.S. employees in various companies. The surveys include 60 questions about employer trust, respect, fairness and camaraderie among workers across all demographics.
Wegmans currently employs some 50,000 workers in 106 stores in several East Coast states.
