Memorial services have been announced for the prominent Orchard Park businessman killed in a helicopter crash last week.

Police have said Michael Capriotto, 63, was a passenger on a flight back to Buffalo from Washington, D.C. with his friend, restaurateur and developer Mark Croce, 58, when the copter crashed in southwestern Pennsylvania. Capriotto owned Bauer Service, an automotive repair company, and was a former Village of Orchard Park trustee who was known for investing in local charitable causes.

In addition to owning Statler City, the Curtiss Hotel, the Buffalo Chophouse and D'Arcy McGee restuarant, Croce has been described as a "very experienced pilot" and "a valuable member of the Reserve Aviation Unit." Authorities are still investigating the cause.

Family and friends of Capriotto will be received at the F.E. Brown Sons Funeral Home in Orchard Park on Saturday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. On Sunday, the funeral home will be open all day to receive mourners and the family will be there from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. A funeral will be held Monday at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in Orchard Park at 10 a.m.

Croce's family has said they planned a private funeral and a public memorial service to be announced at a later date.
