Western New Yorkers who have a little down time before the new year begins, may want to help out a local landmark with just a click of their mouse.
The National Comedy Center is a finalist in USA Today's Readers' Choice for 10 Best New Attractions in the nation. As of Friday, the center is #2, but voting continues until noon Jan. 7, so the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce is hoping you can help keep it there.
Anyone can vote daily and it can be shared through social media, emails and word of mouth.
The Chamber says the USA Today award is known for bringing significant national media attention to the winner, and that national media attention brings more tourists to Chautauqua County - a huge boon for the local economy. When visitors come to see one attraction, they're also likely to visit others - and spend money in local hotels, restaurants and retailers.
