On the trail to Buffalo's best wings

VisitBuffaloNiagara

It's a list expected to generate heated debate. The "Delicious Dozen" are the 12 Erie County eateries selected by local tourism officials for the debut of the Buffalo Wing Trail. The concept looks to tap into the growing food tourism industry.

Here is the "Delicious Dozen," the eateries selected for the debut of The Buffalo Wing Trail:

-Anchor Bar

-Bar-Bill Tavern

-Blackthorn Restaurant

-Cole's

-Doc Sullivan's

-Duff's

-Elmo's Bar & Restaurant

-Gabriel's Gate

-Gene McCarthy's

-Glen Park Tavern

-Lenox Grill

-Mammoser's Tavern

According to Patrick Kaler, President and CEO of Visit Buffalo Niagara, the selections were based on social media input, on-line restaurant reviews and consultation from Buffalo's "Wing King" Drew Cerza. While Kaler acknowledges the picks will spark controversy, he hopes spirited dialogue will draw attention and tourists to the trail.
