Add Tops to the list of supermarket chains that will now offer same-day delivery service.
The Buffalo-based grocer says that it will partner with Instacart, the same company that Wegmans announced it would work with this past summer to provide same-day delivery.
Tops says the same-day delivery service will be available in the Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Erie, PA markets prior to Thanksgiving. Tops anticipates rolling out the service into most of its remaining stores by the end of the first quarter of 2018.
To help celebrate the launch of the service, Tops is offering free delivery for the first two months customers use the Instacart service. Officials say they also expect the partnership will lead to earning opportunities for people who want to do the shopping and delivering for Tops.
