Ciminelli unveils new Elmwood Village development

Ciminelli Real Estate has unveiled plans for a mixed-use development project slated to transform 11 properties in the area of Bidwell Parkway, Elmwood and Potomac Avenues in the City of Buffalo. At a community meeting Wednesday, the project was introduced under the name Arbor + Reverie. When complete, it will be two buildings with 1920 facades, linked together by pedestrian walkways.

“The project is intended to fit into the context of the surrounding streetscape and urban setting by reflecting the vitality and street energy of Elmwood Avenue combined with a beautiful Bidwell Parkway setting,” said Ciminelli Senior Development Manager Amber Holycross. “Once it’s built, we are confident it will feel like it’s always been there.”

Holycross says the company plans "an extensive, year-long community outreach effort" for the project. The Arbor building will include 6,000 square feet of retail space, 33 apartments/for-sale condominiums and 13 parking spaces. Reverie will include 6,000 square-feet of retail space, 53 apartment units and 137 parking spaces.

Also along this block is a dilapidated structure at 584 Potomac Avenue, which will be taken down and replaced with a public garden and playground area. Construction is expected to begin next spring and be completed by 2020.
