Another Buffalo bank is reportedly moving out of its namesake downtown tower. KeyBank will be moving into the new building under construction at 250 Delaware Avenue, which will be the new headquarters for Delaware North.
Bank officials tell Business First that they don't need as much the space as they have in the Key Tower, since most of their data storage is now digital rather than on paper.
No jobs are expected to be lost when the move takes place this fall, although square footage from the move will drop from 43,000 to about 12,000 thousand.
Delaware North, which also has a large presence in Key Tower, will be the primary tenant in the new 12-story building at Delaware Avenue and Chippewa Street, which is slated to open later this year.
HSBC Bank vacated its offices at HSBC Tower in 2013. Much of the building currently remains unused.
