Partnership endorses Cuomo's tax relief plan

Chris Caya/WBFO News

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership and a bipartisan group of the region's state delegation are endorsing Governor Andrew Cuomo's business tax relief plan. Lou Panzica, a member of the Partnership's Executive Committee and Manufacturers Council, says New York's tax burden is a large contributor to the high cost of doing business in the state.

"The Partnership's mission is to improve the business climate in Buffalo-Niagara and the proposed tax relief initiatives that we're endorsing here today are a great first step in alleviating the crushing tax burden that has made New York State such a difficult place to do business," Panzica said.

Cuomo will include the tax relief plan in his 2014-2015 budget proposal, scheduled to be released later this month.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Asssemblymembers Jane Corwin and Sean Ryan, say they support it.
