Marineland fires back at OSPCA, after animal cruelty charges dropped

Marineland

Marineland has filed a lawsuit against the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The Niagara Falls, ON theme park alleges the OSPCA maliciously targeted the park in order to court the favor of animal rights activists and to boost fundraising.

A criminal investigation launched by the OSPCA against Marineland last year led to 11 animal cruelty charges being laid against the theme park. The charges were withdrawn this summer.

The OSPCA says it vehemently denies all of the allegations and will defend itself.
