Trudeau in Niagara Falls for TV appearance

National Public Radio

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is spending Monday morning in Ontario's Niagara region.

He will appear on the well-known U.S. morning show "Live with Kelly and Ryan" for what the show's producer says will be a mix of personal and political talk with show co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest in Niagara Falls.

The show, which also airs on CTV, is taping some editions in Canada this week. The show is airing outdoors at the Oakes Garden Theatre, which showcases panoramic views of the American and Horseshoe Falls.

Trudeau will then mark World Environment Day by paddling the Niagara River with Environment Minister Catherine McKenna.
