Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! coming to Buffalo in April

NPR
Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me!, NPR's weekly hour-long quiz program, is coming to Shea's April 30.

NPR’s Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me! is making its first-ever stop in Buffalo for a live taping of the show Thursday, April 30, at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre. Tickets are available Saturday as a thank you gift for members of Buffalo Toronto Public Media stations, including WBFO, WNED PBS, and WNED Classical. For a donation of $260, members receive a pair of tickets. Single tickets are also available for a contribution of $130.

Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me! is National Public Radio’s Peabody Award-winning comedy news quiz show. Host Peter Sagal leads a rotating panel of comedians, writers, listener contestants, and celebrity guests through a rollicking review of the week’s news. Contestants vie for the most coveted prize in all of public radio: a custom-recorded greeting by any of the cast members for their voicemail.

Buffalo Toronto Public Media members were sent an email early today with information about how to donate for tickets. Seats will be assigned first come, first served. This event is expected to sell out.

Fans of the show should tune in to WBFO, your NPR station, at 11 a.m. Saturday on 88.7 in Buffalo, 91.3 in Olean, and 88.1 in Jamestown or by streaming the station from the app or at wbfo.org to hear more about the event and how to reserve tickets.
