Anthony is back after a short trip to NYC where he saw his favorite MY FAIR LADY (again!) at Lincoln Center and TO KILL A MOCKINBIRD at the Schubert (the updated Aaron Sorkin version that's coming to the Kavinoky in the fall)! And THE TEMPEST continues to delight at Shakespeare in Delaware Park (especially with comic masters Chris Handley and Norm Sham - see photo).
The musical FIRST DATE opens next week and brings together "blind date newbie" Aaron who is set up with serial-dater Casey, as the couple quickly finds that they are not alone on this unpredictable evening as other restaurant patrons transform into friends and exes and parents. And there's considerable buzz about SEX by Mae West at The Shaw Festival and good things too about the Shaw's treatment of Tennessee Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE, both at the Jackie Maxwell Theatre (adjecent to the larger Festival Theatre).
