Meet Jaman Dunn, the BPO's new assistant conductor who loves film and game scores

Jaman Dunn

Jaman Dunn is the new Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra's assistant conductor and outreach coordinator. He wants to expand the BPO's reach into the Western New York community and spoke to WBFO's Nick Lippa about how it can be done.

Dunn had quite the journey getting to Buffalo. He grew up in Chicago, completed his undergraduate studies at Ohio State University, where he formed his own orchestra, and graduated from the Boston Conservatory this past May.

Dunn talks about his journey leading up to becoming a member of the BPO.

Jaman Dunn is a big fan of video games. He also happens to love the music that comes with them.  In this interview clip, Dunn speaks on his love for Star Wars: KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic), Skyrim, Zelda, and more.

WBFO's Nick Lippa and Jaman Dunn have an in-depth conversation about some popular (and less popular) video game music.

Nick Lippa leads our Arts & Culture Coverage, and is also the lead reporter for the station's Mental Health Initiative, profiling the struggles and triumphs of those who battle mental health issues and the related stigma that can come from it.
