WNY to shine in 'Cold Brook' premiere Oct. 12

Woodstock Film Festival
"Cold Brook" stars Kim Coates (left) and William Fichtner, who also co-wrote and directed the film.

Remember last summer when Western New York was all abuzz for a special film crew in town? Behind the camera for the first time was a "Chicktowaga" native. (Yes, he still pronounces it that way.) Veteran actor William Fichtner chose his hometown as the backdrop for his directorial debut, "Cold Brook."

There is no trailer yet, but the finished product - which Fichtner also co-wrote - is ready for the big screen. Speaking from his home in Los Angeles, Fichtner told WBFO's Marian Hetherly the time-bending tale premieres at the Woodstock Film Festival Oct. 12.
