While August is traditionally the month for taking a vacation, that message hasn't gotten to the theaters!
A frenetic lavish (interview with "Jasmine") stage production of Disney's ALADDIN is still at Shea's, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING gets at the "heart" of the play at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, THE AMISH PROJECT and INTO THE BREECHES are at Chautauqua, Buffalo's Roslyn Ruff steals the show at Williamstown, Stratford's production of CORIOLANUS starring Andre Sills is the breakout show of their summer, while the Shaw, for the first time ever, puts on a Shakespeare play, HENRY V, set during WWI. Speaking of the Shaw Festival, next year will feature Mae West's 1926 play SEX!
