Lauren Belfer's new novel 'And After The Fire' melds past, present

Buffalo native Lauren Belfer is heading back to the best-seller charts with her new novel "And After The Fire." It's a look at the music of Bach, anti-semitism and family. Belfer talked to WBFO's Mike Desmond about the book.

Lauren Belfer will talk about her new book and sign copies at Larkin Square on Monday, May 16 at 5:30 p.m. Both the talk and parking for the event are free.

Mike Desmond
Mike Desmond is one of Western New York’s most experienced reporters, having spent nearly a half-century covering the region for newspapers, television stations and public radio. He has been with WBFO and its predecessor, WNED-AM, since 1988. As a reporter for WBFO, he has covered literally thousands of stories involving education, science, business, the environment and many other issues. Mike has been a long-time theater reviewer for a variety of publications and was formerly a part-time reporter for The New York Times.
