Buffalo State's Music Department will unveil a brand new concert hall Sunday, November 4. A ribbon cutting will be held for a multi-million dollar, 194-seat recital hall.
Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra conductor JoAnn Falletta will be performing Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the new Louis P. Ciminelli Recital Hall located at Rockwell Hall.
WBFO's Eileen Buckley sat down with Falletta to discuss the new center and her planned performance.
Chairman and CEO of LPCiminelli Inc. Ciminelli and the Ciminelli Family Foundation donated $750,000 to the Buffalo State Music Department.
Buffalo State College lists other friends and alumni of Buffalo State who made significant contributions to the recital hall will have portions of the facility named in their honor. They include the:
- Edward P. and Lois Rowland Klein Lobby, in honor of Lois Rowland Klein
- Jacqueline V. LoRusso Recording Studio and Control Room
- Steinmiller Stage, honoring George and Joan Steinmiller Richmond
- Edna Rosner Rowland Teaching Studio, in honor of Rowland by her daughter, Doris Peterson.
