Restaurateurs and volunteers are preparing to greet the many thousands of people expected to visit the Taste of Buffalo this weekend.
WBFO and AM 970's Jay Moran spoke with Chris Hitchcock, the person charged with overseeing the event billed as the largest two-day food festival in the United States.
Hitchcock says food trucks will participate in the festival for the first time and each restaurant will feature completely unique food items, with no duplicates. A new Kids Zone will be in place. Two stages will feature live music and area chefs will battle in cooking competitions.
Hours for this year's Taste of Buffalo are Saturday from 11 am to 9 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. The event runs along Delaware Avenue from Chippewa St. to Niagara Square. More information is available here.
