New tour highlights Frank Lloyd Wright's greatest works

Several local sites designed by architect Frank Lloyd Wright can now be seen on one day-long tour.

The Darwin Martin House, Graycliff Estate, the Blue Sky Mausoleum and the Fontana Boat House are among the stops on the All Wright All Day tour announced today by Martin House Restoration Corporation Executive Director Mary Roberts.

"This will be one of the most fun-filled architectural educational tours that you can take," Roberts said.

The tours will feature a knowledgeable guide who will point out other architectural treasures and areas of interest along the way, including some privates residences designed by Wright.

"It really is an entertaining full day of educational value, entertainment value, knowledge-based learning, and a place where you, our citizens, can ask questions of the experts in a comfortable environment,"

This tour runs all day from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is offered on nine separate dates from April through October. The cost is  $100 for non-members or $95 for members of the Martin House or Graycliff.  Reservations are required.

The all-inclusive tour, which  begins at Forest Law cemetery, comes complete with lunch at the Buffalo Yacht Club.   Anyone who is interested can go to www.darwinmartinhouse.org for more information.
