THE TREASURER at Jewish Repertory Theater has David Lundy as The Son and Darleen Pickering Hummert as Ida in a riveting scene.

We have five shows currently up on area stages and all are under a wide then called comedies, two with more yucks than others - PUFFS and NUNSENSATIONS - and three more darkly comic - WAITING FOR GODOT, THE SIEGEL, and THE TREASURER. Three of those close this weekend - GODOT, NUNSENSATIONS, and PUFFS.

Remember that mask requirements as well as vaccine requirements are still up to individual businesses and given how the pandemic has affected theaters from Broadway to Main Street, it's likely that you will still need proof and masks. So, come prepared and have your documentation ready, particularly if your eyeglasses are in the habit of either fogging or freezing up. (Don't miss Anthony's amusing story on the audio.)

The THEATER LISTINGS below are accurate as of this Friday morning, February 11, but check with the venues frequently. Pro Tip: Visit the websites to buy tickets but check with Facebook as well which will often have the most up-to-the-minute information on cancellations and postponements.

Listen for Theater Talk, Friday morning at 6:45 and 8:45 during Morning Edition.
Even though "semi-retired," Peter Hall continues to wear many hats. He is the Sunday afternoon host on WBFO’s “sister station,” WNED Classical where he has produced over 1,000 radio interviews with musical artists. If you see him at a theater with a pen in his hand, he’s probably getting ready to co-host “Theater Talk” with Anthony Chase (heard Friday mornings at 6:45 and 8:45 a.m. on WBFO) or to write a review for www.buffalorising.com. He is also a member of the "Artie Awards" committee (think “Tony Awards for Buffalo theaters”).
