Neglia Ballet's Spring Gala is this Saturday

After two years of cancellations forced by the pandemic, Neglia Ballet is back with their annual Spring Gala on Saturday, May 21 at 7pm at Nichols Flickinger Performing Arts Center. Artistic Director Sergio Neglia and Executive Director Heidi Halt provided details during a recent with WBFO.

Former students, many of whom have gone onto professional careers in ballet, will perform as will Sergio Neglia. Former WBFO reporter Eileen Buckley will be honored for her commitment to the dance company throughout the years.

Proceeds from the gala go toward the City Dance program. Neglia's outreach effort aims to increase long-term access to dance training for youth living in under-resourced communities in Buffalo.

Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Jay joined Buffalo Toronto Public Media in 2008 and has been local host for NPR's "Morning Edition" ever since. In June, 2022, he was named one of the co-hosts of WBFO's "Buffalo, What's Next."
