Lockport Police arrest man connected to hospital robbery

Lockport Police

The City of Lockport Police Department has made an arrest in connection to the armed robbery that took place at the Eastern Niagara Hospital around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

Adam D. Kibler of 120 Levan Avenue in the City of Lockport was charged with robbery in the First Degree.

On Saturday a man armed with two rifles and what was claimed as a bomb walked in the hospital demanding drugs. Police shot at the man but he escaped with an undetermined amount of drugs. Police later recovered the weapons and learned the bomb was harmless. Lockport Police issued a shelter in place order for the city that was later lifted after the scene was found to be safe again.

Kibler will be arraigned Monday morning in the City of Lockport Court before the Hon. Judge William Watson.

Saturday & Sunday 6 a.m. to 12 p.m.
