A Western New York charitable tradition is proclaiming success again this year as the Variety Club Telethon raised over $1.2 million.
The live 12-hour broadcast on local station WKBW-TV marked the 50th anniversary for the telethon which now boasts donations exceeding $44 million over the last half century.
Farnham native and singer Clint Holmes was among the headliners at this year's event which also included a reunion of Channel Seven's iconic news team of Rick Azar, Tom Jolls and Irv Weinstein.
The proceeds benefit Women and Children's Hospital and other charities.
